The James LIbrary's Fall Juried Art Exhibition

2019-09-13 18:00 2019-10-19 20:00 America/New_York The James LIbrary's Fall Juried Art Exhibition The James Library & Center for the Arts, Norwell’s historic community arts center and lending library, presents a Fall Juried Art Exhibition on display at 24 West Street, Norwell. The show’s opening reception will be held on Friday, September 13, from 6 to 8 pm. Visitors are welcome to attend the opening or view the works on display during business hours through October 19. The event is sponsored by Image Resolutions of Norwell. The James Library’s Fall Juried Art Exhibition, themed “Continuum,” seeks submissions which visually define, interpret or explore the constant yet everchanging. Works selected for the exhibit explore the vast conditions along a continuum in its unlimited interpretations in art, history, color, light, nature and the human condition. Christina Godfrey is the Director of Contemporary Art at Sunne Savage Gallery. As Director, she works as a curator, collections manager and appraiser for various corporate, residential and non-profit organizations. She has assisted with museum exhibitions in Idaho, New Hampshire, New York and Maine in addition to curating quarterly exhibitions at the RSM Art Gallery in Charlestown, MA. Christina’s area of interest is emerging to mid-career New England Artists. She enjoys connecting the up-and-coming with the new-to-collecting. Raised in a family entrenched in the art world, Christina’s father is the abstract artist, Robert S. Neuman. Her mother is gallerist Sunne Savage. Christina is a graduate of Wheaton College, class of 2001, and she has been working as an art consultant in Massachusetts since 2002. Christina is a resident of Norwell, MA and is looking forward to learning more about artists working on the South Shore.
